In the southwestern city of Saudi Arabia, ABHA, POLARKON has undertaken the construction of city’s one of the biggest shopping malls’ roofing structures, which includes design, engineering services, manufacturing and installation works.
The roof of the main building of the shopping center is in the form of a vault, the structure is approximately 7.000 square meters in total area and covered with space frame system. In addition to that, special joint details have been designed and applied to the skylights in egg form which had a total area of 6.200 square meter and 30-meter span and 75-meter length. The steel supported system is designed in single layer free form and completed with special nodal systems.
